Government portals are changing — LokBox keeps pace
Cantons and the federal government are moving their portals to logins and online procedures. LokBox works right inside those portals — you stay in control.
AGOV becomes mandatory from 31 Oct 2026
From 31 October 2026, the ESTV (Federal Tax Administration) login runs exclusively through AGOV — passwordless and device-bound. LokBox is built for exactly that: you sign in yourself, then LokBox does the work in the portal.
Canton Zurich: online instead of offline software
The offline "Private Tax" software was discontinued; the tax return now runs online via ZHprivateTax (access through AGOV).
Canton Aargau: EasyTax becomes eTAX AARGAU
EasyTax has been replaced; from 2026 the tax return is filed with eTAX AARGAU (online, AGOV registration required).
